Another Great Year!

2018 has been our busiest and best year yet, from new franchisees, we welcomed Sameer Dhumale who looks after Edinburgh, Mark & Sas who cover Cornwall & Lewis Grewcock based out of Leicestershire. Combined they have attended 72 events so far!

Our summer started at the beginning of May and from there on it has been without doubt, a whirlwind of activity for the Beetle Juice team, we have been bringing the party to the massive. A big thank you to all of you that have stopped by, had a cocktail and have had some fun. First up was Thame’s Music in the Park in Oxfordshire. It was a scorcher of a weekend and from that day on, the sun didn’t stop shinning and we haven’t stopped making and serving cocktails - up and down the country.

Harry Sloan, Co-Founder and Director of Beetle Juice comments “2018 has been our biggest and busiest year since we launched in 2012. We have doubled the number of festivals that we attended and were first timers at the likes of Lattitude, which was brilliant. Leeds and Reading are also new for 2018, we were the main arena at Leeds and enjoyed having a strong, visible presence. August Bank Holiday weekend saw five of our vans at four different festivals. The beauty of Beetle Juice is having 18 vans, we can spread ourselves out attending more than one large event on the same weekend which we can do with ease.

Which festival has been the highlight for you this year?

HS - Formally Tea in the park, TRSNMT- Scotland’s biggest festival. It took place over two weekends in Glasgow Green on Friday 29 June, Saturday 30 June, Sunday 1 July and Friday 6th July, Sunday 8th July. The music was brilliant (Artic Monkeys, Liam Gallagher and The Killers) the people were lovely, the sun didn't stop shining and the cocktails were flowing. What more could you wish for, we’ll be back next year.

How many cocktails would say you’ve served on average since the start of the season?

HS - It is close to 70,000 cocktails. Our 18 VW cocktail vans have been at the some of the best festivals, parties and events this country has seen and we’re only half way through the season… come back to me at the end of September and I’ll re-count!

What has been your most popular cocktail this summer?

HS - Our gin-based cocktail Beetle Juice is by far our most popular, followed by a classic Mojito.

Earlier this year Beetle Juice signed up to The Evening Standards ‘The Last Straw’, making even more environmentally responsible changes to the running of the company. Have you seen more efforts this year at festivals with people using less plastic? At some shows yes, Download & Latitude are using Eco cups (reusable options) it does make a big difference in plastic waste.

Beetle Juice are constantly changing their cocktail service at festivals and events, becoming the UK's premium cocktail option at some of the biggest festivals in the country. Our cocktails are hand-made to order and always with a 50ml measure. Yes, they take longer to make but they’re garnished well and we’re passionate about fresh ingredients and our premium spirits. We’re confident you can taste the difference!
